FRP Electrolytic cell for Cu/Zn/Ni ER/EW electrolysis

Polymer concrete electrolytic cell provides tailor-made, environmentally sound and optimized solutions for copper electro-refining / electro-winning plants. Crane positioning pin, acid mist pipelines, and anode mortise are embedded with cells.
Through modifying resin molecular structure to make its expansion co-efficient close to SiO2, we make cell components being an integration by cold isostatic pressing for anti-corrosion, isolation and long service life.

Production process:

Due to electrolytic cell with high anti-corrosion requirement, Unionsum will select suitable cell manufacture process according to different cell operation condition (electrolyte and temperature).
Optimum material composition and mould manufacture process to avoid resin gummosis phenomenon;
Double-side of plate manufacture synchronously, then coating with yellow gel for oxygen insulation, to increase anti-corrosion and weather resistance performance and service life.
Reinforced rib with FRP coating manufacture through female mould process, with good integration performance, no layer separation and cavitations between FRP and reinforcing rib, increased cell anti-deformation ability.

Structure:

Unionsum can supply the following cell types based on client requirement (loading capacity, cell inner volume, cell outer edge support span and full deformation):
Wood as reinforcing rib and cell bottom large rib
Mixed structure: Un-conductive magnetic steel as cell reinforcing rib and hoop inner rib, wood or both as longitudinal reinforcing rib, wood as bottom reinforcing rib if support span ≤2000mm,steel as bottom reinforcing rib if support span ≥2000mm,
Un-conductive magnetic steel as reinforcing rib and cell bottom large rib

Anticorrosion and anti-permeability: inner surface is adopted high-quality unsaturated polyester resin or vinyl resin, gel content ≥70%,and fiber material adopted surface carpet and chopped strand mat, to make sure anticorrosion ability and permeability resistance ability.

Good integrality: no stitching points, round rebar and vertical rebar outsourced FRP. The electrolyzing cells have the characteristics of large carrying capacity, good rigidity, strong impact resistance and no cracks.

Light weight: specific gravity of FRP is 1.8kilogram per cnetimeter; it is only one third of traditional concrete and steel liner FRP electrolytic cell.

Smooth inner surface: adopted high light fiberglass mold, inner wall is dense and smooth. No pollution to anode slime, easy to clean.

Good insulation: FRP is good insulation material. No pass current, no leakage, power-efficient.

Service life long: make sure service life more than 15 years, low operating costs, minimal maintenance.
